And despite our name, you don’t have to live in Great Britain to join us.

We always need wonderful new letters waiting to be matched with pen pals across the world.
Simply write a friendly letter introducing yourself and telling your future pen pal a little about your life and interests. It doesn’t need to be perfect. Just be yourself!
Before sending your letter, please complete our Personal Profile Form online, or print a copy and include it with your letter. This helps us find the right match for you and create your unique Pen Pal ID.

Geoff Banks from Devon, England, and Celesta Byrne from Texas, USA, both 101 years old, have shared a pen pal friendship for over 84 years. It all began in 1938, when they were 16, as part of a school programme connecting British and American students.
